I said yes to the work everyone else saw as admin, and it changed my career.

Some of the most important work in PMO is the work other people overlook.

One of the biggest turning points in my career came from saying yes to work that others viewed as administration rather than strategy.

I took ownership of coordinating execution across more than 40 locations and thousands of stakeholders. What appeared to be operational support became an opportunity to establish governance, standardise processes, align stakeholders, manage risks and give leadership meaningful visibility.

That experience taught me a lesson I still carry today: industries change, but execution doesn't. Strong governance and disciplined execution are transferable skills that create value in any organisation.
